United Pool Management lifeguards should:
Be at least 15 years old
Have current and valid Lifeguarding Certification (if you are not certified, we offer American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course)
Obtain a Pool Operators License (Mandatory for single lifeguard swimming pool facilities)
Be punctual, mature and responsible
Be reliable, professional and ready to work in a team
Be friendly and welcoming to all pool patrons

Pool Operator – All Pool Managers and Assistant Managers must obtain a Pool Operator Certfication for their jurisdiction. Maryland:
Howard County: United Pool Management pool operator course is approved/accepted. In order to obtain Howard County card, there is a $15 fee required. The Howard County Health Department is located at 8930 Stanford Boulevard, Columbia, MD 21045. The card is valid for 5 years.

District of Columbia:
United Pool Management pool operator course is approved/accepted. In order to obtain District of Columbia card, there is a $10 fee required. The District of Columbia requires the payment to be either a $10 money order or personal check. The District of Columbia Department of Health Bureau of Community Hygiene Food Safety & Hygiene Inspection Services Division is located at 825 North Capitol Street NE, Washington, DC 20002. Virginia:
Prince William County: United Pool Management pool operator course is approved/accepted. In order to obtain Prince William County card, there is a $15 fee required to obtain a County card (Valid for up to 5 year or expires yearly on December 31st). To obtain the Prince William County card, you must go to the Prince William Health Department located at 8470 Kao Circle, Manassas, VA.

Fairfax County: United Pool Management pool operator course is approved/accepted. The Fairfax County Health Department recognizes and accepts the United Pool Management Pool Operators card. The United Pool Management card is valid for 5 years.

Arlington County: The County does not require a card. The County requires that a least one lifeguard on duty at all times has the knowledge and skill to maintain the pool facility. The Arlington County Inspector may require the lifeguard to take a knowledge/skill test at the facility. United Pool Management requires all lifeguards that are 16 years or older to take and pass a pool operators course.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND – $50
NOTE: Employee must work 5/25/2024, 5/26/2024, 5/27/2024
WEEKEND BONUS – UP TO $50
Additional $25 for working on 6/01/2024 and 6/02/2024
Additional $25 for working on 6/08/2024 and 6/09/2024
LABOR DAY WEEKEND BONUS – $50
NOTE: Employee must work on 08/31/2024, 9/01/2024, 9/02/2024
EARLY BIRDS SIGN ON BONUS – $75
NOTE: To qualify for $75 Early Sign On Bonus, employee must be hired with all the paperwork completed by January 1st, 2024
NOTE: Employee must work a minimum of 125 hours thought the season
REFERRAL BONUS – $100
To qualify for $100 Referral Bonus, referred guard must be available to work Memorial Day Weekend, including 5/25/2024, 5/26/2024, 5/27/2024 and Labor Day weekend, including 08/31/2024, 9/01/2024, 9/02/2024. If the referred guard does not work on these dates referring guard will not be eligible for the bonus program.
NOTE: Referred guard must work a minimum of 125 hours thorough the season. If the referred employee quits, or is terminated, referring employee will not be eligible for the bonus.
In order to qualify for the full Bonus program employee should:
- Employee must work a full scheduled shift in order to get the bonus.
- Employee must maintain current certifications throughout contract dates.
- Receipt of written warnings to the employee might reflect on the structure of the employee bonus.
- If an employee is terminated or does not otherwise maintain employment with United Pool Management, the employee will not be eligible for any of the Bonuses above.
Assisting with the overall operations of aquatic management protocols
Developing positive relationships with pool patrons and lifeguard staff
Assisting in the evaluation of programs, maintains accurate records and distributes information to lifeguard staff
Operates all equipment properly and promptly reports any problems.
Sets up and maintains a clean and safe work environment
Attends staff meetings and trainings as required
Supervises an average of 10 pool sites.
Enforces rules and regulations and enforces major company policies
Follows all United Pool Management policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency procedures and action plans
Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
Supervisors are responsible for meeting and training all staff and preparing pools
Schedule and staff all shifts. Handle all emergency staffing situations.
Complete two written inspection reports for each pool per week. Both inspections must be signed by a property representative.
Carry all applicable lifeguarding/CPR/Pool Operators certs at all times
